More board than I know what to do with!, 4.5.2009 Reviewer: Ashley Mason (Torrance, CA) Ashley one of the RebelBoards owners here. Of course I was excited to try out the Larry Design and this one was the first I picked out. My first session was a disaster, marginal conditions and the board is just so lightening fast in its responses and initially unforgiving due to the hard rails. 2nd time out, much better conditions and I got up on the nose... unbelievable... the nose channels locked in and the board picked up speed and list and let me stay up there as long as I wanted. Turning on this board is effortless and it drives a hard carving line though I am still learning it. I am more used to surfing off my back foot and this board likes the rider to be a little further forward. 3rd session, Bluff Cove, shoulder high.... slow rolling waves had me wondering if I had enough board to catch anything. I should not have worried, take offs are easy and this board lets you go all over the place on a slow wave like you get at the cove. It also gave me the confidence to practice my cross stepping and camp out at the nose. This is more board than I know what to do with. Easy to jump on a ride immediately and justs keeps getting better and better as you get to know it. Also looks amazing hanging on the wall at home when its not being used!
